Nancy Dayhoff EdD, RN is a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS)
with expertise in the teaching and coaching of adults with chronic diseases. Her experiences include:
• Associate Professor Emeritus of Nursing, Indiana University. Taught advance practice nurses the science and skills of how to instruct and coach patients to change their health behaviors, and how to conduct clinical and fiscal outcome evaluations to assess the effects of interventions and programs. Upon retirement from the University, she received the Sagamore of the Wabash award from the Governor of Indiana and was recognized for her achievements by the Indiana Senate and House of Representatives.
• Consultant to hospitals to assist them to develop evidence-based nursing care and measure outcomes of care. Consultation focused on developing evidence-based patient education and care, and developing nursing staff skills in designing and implementing evidence-based practice.
• Co-designer of chronic disease and wellness program, materials, and outcome measures for employees with chronic disease.
• Leader in numerous nursing and health care organizations including: Past Director and officer (past Chair, Vice-Chair, and Treasurer) of the Board of Directors, Major Hospital, Shelbyville, IN Past Member, Board of Directors of Indiana Hospital Healthcare Association o Past Vice President, National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists.
• Author of research and clinical articles published in journals and books.
